Candela Photographic Arts 2026

Exhibition:
Tired. Warrior. Defeated. In Love
Four Legs

From 1st May - 20th June 2026 I am showing two project at Candela Photographic Arts in Richmond Verginia.
The first is a project on motherhood ‘Tired. Warrior. Defeated. In Love’ showing the layers and complexities of what it means to be a mother. This project means a lot ot me and it so amazing to finally have it exhibited.

The second series ‘Four Legs’ is a playful antidote to our hectic lives. I have been dedicating 1 day a week to cermics and have started making miniuture chairs, I then photographed these chairs in mini boxed sets in my studio, layering and cutting them to create more chaotic images. Everyone loves a miniture, and it certainly gives you that sence of control, that we all feel is slipping through our fingers day by day. So hopefully this will bring a smile to your faces.

Paris Photo 2025

Booth D49 with The Photographers Gallery

It was an absolute pleasure to attend Paris Photo this month,  it was such a fun and vibrant atmosphere. Some of my favourite artists from the festival were exhibiting as part of Approche - a Paris based Salon dedicated to presenting the work of artists who experiment with the image. Reeve Schumacher’s kaleidoscopic images made from hundreds of collected vinyls and Emilie Gostelie’s patchworks hay bale photographs offered new ideas around endless reinvention, and also reminded me of a favourite childhood toy - slide puzzles!

In the Palm of My Hand

This series playfully explores the symbolism of hands as a way to define what is real. In dreams, our subconscious often improvises details based on memory and expectation, leading to surreal or distorted perceptions. One common method for distinguishing dreams from waking life is by looking at our hands—something that often appears strange or inconsistent in dreams. By regularly examining the details of your hands while awake, you build a habit that can carry over into your dreams. When this happens, it can trigger the realisation that you’re dreaming, giving you the ability to consciously influence and navigate the dream world.
